My Maiden of the Mire | Writer/Editor
A choice-based LGBT low fantasy romance visual novel with full voice acting.
Role: Wrote over 3000 words of conditional branching dialogue, assisted in outlining plot, worked with voice actors, provided marketing copy, and edited 10,000+ lines.

Death Love Repeat | Game Writer
Death Love Repeat is a visual novel wherein the protagonist, Theo, realizes he’s a character in a stereotypical 80s summer slasher game. Realizing his summer camp experience keeps repeating, Theo must utilize this time loop to stop the killer… or romance them instead?
Role: Solo-wrote the 15,000+ word script and assisted in creating the game’s landing page.

In this choice-based visual novel, one moment you’re yet another stressed out philosophy student. The next? You find yourself suddenly transported to ancient Athens! Ally with famous Greeks to find your way back home.
Role: Wrote Plato story route, worked with artists to draft character designs, attended weekly team meetings, and edited my peer’s work.

Ballad of the Cosplayer | Editor
A cosplayer is transported to a fantasy world… and the citizens think they’re their new leader? Use your cosplay chops to keep up the ruse or face certain peril! This visual novel demo sets up a multi-act diverging narrative centering player choice.
Role: Edited the 25,000 word script. Brought onto the dev team officially to edit and help write the full game.

Ashe: Crystal Heart | Lead Co-Writer
This mod adds a new original character, Ashe, to Skyrim to accompany the player. Ashe has her own quest line, contextual commentary, and develops a friendship/romance with the player over the course of numerous conversations.
The mod boasts 3,000+ lines of dialogue, a #1 Mod of the Month win (Dec. 2024), and over 70,000 unique downloads.
Role: I was originally brought onto the project as an editor. After providing a strong editing pass of the several thousand word script, I was promoted to lead co-writer. In this position, I was trusted to write hundreds of lines of additional content for the Project Lead - adapting my writing to their style, assisting with narrative design, and supervising another editor’s work.

Tales of Skyrim: Berserkyr | Writer
Become a bear-warrior of myth as you progress through a two-part quest line. Berserkyr adds a previously inaccessible werebear transformation power to the player.
The mod has accumulated 169,000+ unique downloads and was featured on Nexus Mods’ “Hot Mods” list.
Role: Co-wrote the two in-game lorebooks and consulted on quest/narrative design.

Skyrim: Extended Cut | Game Writer
An upcoming mod that overhauls The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s main storyline by adding new quests, choices, challenges, and characters.
The mod is hotly anticipated. Its promotional YouTube channel has grossed over 625,000 views and has amassed a 7,000+ member Discord community.
Role:
• I was given ownership of a companion character. Created character documentation, drafted romance and companion quests, and wrote 300+ bark lines.
• I collaborated in a writer’s room to produce golden path quest scripts for implementation. I provided feedback and edited my peers’ work.
• I participated in weekly writer meetings where I pitched and evaluated ideas with the team.

This sample from Skyrim: Extended Cut takes place during a modified version of the existing Skyrim game quest “Diplomatic Immunity”. The player meets Sigrun, an original character who will eventually become an adversary. For now, he seeks a mutually beneficial alliance.

Taken from a game design document I created for a game jam, this sample contains flavor text, a character mockup used by artists, and that character’s in-game dialogue with the player character.
Game Writing Sample - Modern, Snappy Dialogue
This sample contains the opening sequence to Death Love Repeat, an 80s-inspired summer camp slasher horror visual novel. The design goal was multifaceted: memorably introduce several characters, set the game’s tone, and sow the seeds for future dramatic events.

I stumbled upon my passion for narrative design and writing after joining a mod team pursuing an ambitious goal: re-writing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s main quest. I applied thinking I’d simply offer some ideas aimed to mold the mod more to my liking. Instead, as I cut my teeth writing everything from quest scripts to character bibles to dialogue barks, I realized that I’d come to find the rigor of game writing deeply rewarding.
I continued to reach out and team up with other ambitious Skyrim modders. That community remains dear to my heart. Wanting to see how far the narrative rabbit hole goes, I began forays into game jams, audio entertainment, and more traditional writing. I’m having a blast!
